MeshBox Biweekly Report(2020.05.04–2020.05.15)

This week, MeshBox advisor Henry Wang and Business Development Director Jedi visited QUDOOR. QUDOOR is the only high-tech enterprise headquartered in Beijing engaged in the development of quantum communications, quantum computing and quantum sensor technology. QUDOOR is an important strategic partner of SmartMesh and MeshBox and plays a crucial role in the construction of the Space Ground Industrial chain. Both parties discussed issues such as integration of quantum technology and blockchain; the future possibility of MeshBox integration of quantum communication functions and the likelihood of sharing production lines, among many others.

At the same time, this week, MeshBox Chief Strategist, Harry traveled from Shenzhen to the Beijing office to discuss the strategic deployment of the new infrastructure with the team. Harry will focus more on the production and sales deployment after MeshBox Tesla obtains an FCC license.

Here are the specifics of this week:

Software:

Development progress:

  1. Updated MeshBox-Turing and MeshBox-Maxwell cable network card drivers to the latest version.
  2. Checked and diagnosed the miner’s blacklisting problem; and fix it.
  3. Fixed bugs in detail and added log collection tools
  4. Fixed the problem of iPhone not being able to connect to MeshBox wireless WiFi.
  5. A complete review of the existing problems in the MeshBox system.

Both parties discussed issues such as integration of quantum technology and blockchain; the future possibility of MeshBox integration of quantum communication functions and the likelihood of sharing production lines, among many others.

● Combination of quantum communication and blockchain

The digital signature and encryption hash function of blockchains may be compromised by quantum computers. Quantum communication solutions are needed to mitigate this threat, and conduct secure identity verification, which will greatly improve the security of the blockchain as a digital currency.

● Quantum communication and low-orbit satellites

At this stage, one of the limitations faced in making quantum communication more common is the repeater issue. QUDOOR has collaborated with Harbin Institute of Technology Satellite Laser Communication team to develop free space quantum communication technology. If the device can be integrated into a low-orbit satellite, in collaboration with MeshBox, it will greatly increase the transmission interval of quantum communication and promote the development of related applications.

● Quantum communication and Internet of Things

IoT devices contain confidential information and sensitive data sets, which need to be protected by proper authentication and user integrity. Secure communication can be made more feasible through quantum communication.

  2. To protect the interests of MESH holders from the temporary closure of the platform. MeshBox Foundation decided to start accounting for MESH tokens from 15 May 2020 to 14 June 2020 (not taking into account any tokens past the deadline).
