MeshBox Weekly Report(2019.12.23–2019.12.29)

Today, the founder of Singapore’s distributed computing project Alita confirmed that Alita can successfully run in the upgraded Docker of the MeshBox system. At this point, the world’s first interoperable platform that integrates distributed connectivity, distributed storage, distributed communication, and distributed computing into a large ecosystem was born! This distributed system can operate independently of the existing Internet, forming a parallel Internet on its own islands and on islands without submarine cables and satellite connections. Additionally, existing Internet can be combined and upgraded to the Internet of Value through the uplink of the LEO satellite constellation.

As the initiators of the Living Lab industry platform of the Singapore Government Blockchain Interoperability Competition, MeshBox, SmartMesh and Singapore’s University of Social Sciences (SUSS) will complete the underlying infrastructure of value Internet on the HyperMesh architecture with MeshBox as the cornerstone of smart devices. The addition of multi-distributed and blockchain projects has enriched the value Internet ecology and promoted the development of the global blockchain industry.

Here are the specifics of this week:

  1. MeshBox system software V2.2.7 version, MeshBox APP Android and IOS V1.6 version, 4G module is still debugging.
  2. Preparation of Singapore Government Blockchain Interoperability Competition Living Lab Industry Platform:

1) MeshBox successfully installed the Tahoe server program on the distributed storage project, and completed the Tahoe client installation test. Tahoe supports data encryption and shared storage on multiple MeshBox hard disks, as well as data backup. Tahoe can be used for data storage in applications such as the Internet of Things and distributed communications.

2) Attempted to upgrade distributed storage and distributed computing project Alita, MeshBox system software to OpenWrt19, Alita program has been successfully running on MeshBox.

  1. Before the Tesla FCC certification experiment, an internal discussion was held within the company. The discussion focused on commercial and technical considerations regarding the supply optional parts, and starting long-term procurement agreements with some important suppliers to ensure a stable supply in the future.
  2. The FCC certification laboratory has put forward some requirements for auxiliary consumables according to the test equipment has been purchased, and is waiting for the sample return and verification to be issued.
  3. Decided between two types of power adapters. The products of the newer proofing companies have better compatibility. Presently waiting for sample development and production of test samples. The manufacturer has obtained Tesla machines for overall testing and development.
  4. Maxwell’s CCC certification has been approved, currently waiting for the paper certificate to be issued.
  5. SRRC certification: The first mapping test has been started with the certification laboratory. This mapping test took more than a week and is still in testing.

  1. MeshBox and Singapore’s Alita project have made new progress in the field of distributed computing. The MeshBox team has set up an Openwrt-based Docker operating environment for the Alita distributed computing program. At present, Alita is running normally. In the next step, MeshBox will work with Alita to study the distributed computing demonstration solution for the Singapore Government Blockchain Interoperability Competition Living Lab platform.

  1. The MeshBox team conducted multi-faceted testing of Tahoe distributed storage, including the occupation of bandwidth, CPU, memory and other resources, multiple MeshBox redundant storage and disaster recovery, public and private deployment, etc. Comprehensive tests have not found blockage issues. The MeshBox team will cooperate with Tahoe to further develop and optimize the user interface. Tahoe will firstly be applied to the field of student personal distributed storage and Internet of Things in Singapore’s Living Lab.

  1. The collaboration between MeshBox and Yotta Chain will continue after the completion of the mainnet launch. The two parties will sign an NDA to collaborate at the source level. Yotta Chain will open the source code for MeshBox in advance to accelerate the joint adjustment process. Yotta Chain has resolved some of the defects of IPFS Short board. The interoperable distributed storage solution with SmartMesh is expected to provide a distributed storage model with better user experience.

  1. Today, two advisers from MeshBox, Professor David Lee and Mr. Henry Wang, held a conference call on the launch and promotion of Living Lab at the University of Singapore. Professor Lee said that this is Singapore’s first blockchain Living Lab and a Live Sandbox. He hoped that university teachers and students can understand the blockchain through the series of Living Lab activities and become participants and holders of the token system. The results of Living Lab will be translated into mass production and global deployment as soon as possible.
