MeshBox Biweekly Report (2020.12.26–2021.01.08)

Singapore is one of the most active countries in the global blockchain development and innovation. The Singapore government values the development of blockchain talent and education, strives to explore the new paradigm of “integration of production and education” in blockchain education, and fosters professional international courses for to build up blockchain talent.

Funded by the Singapore government and sponsored by Blockchain Association Singapore and Singapore Polytechnic, the MeshBox + SmartMesh training team led by MeshBox CEO Dr. Peter launched the “Singapore Blockchain Developer Training Intermediate Course”. Chia Hock Lai, the president of Singapore Fintech Association and Co-Chairman of Blockchain Association Singapore, attended the opening ceremony. Dr. Peter, the CEO of the MeshBox project, and Bingyang, the Chief Education and Training Officer of SmartMesh, organized the course and projects and started teaching the students. This training course, will educate and produce talented people in blockchain community in Singapore, and potentially add developers for the SmartMesh ecosystem. At the same time, MeshBox and SmartMesh also uses such blockchain education opportunities to provide a diversified income for the foundation.

The MeshBox project business marketing team conducted a pilot training program on the Chinese core community member group. To further improve the consensus of the MeshBox community and project, the business marketing team used the “Chinese core community member group” for a training event. The difficulty of such a training program gradually increases; utilizes the terminology and concepts of SmartMesh and MeshBox product and business model, ecosystem design and deployment applications; and teaches the current status and development trends of the entire industry. Through training, the core members can fully understand the strategic planning and deployment of SmartMesh and MeshBox.

The following is our specific work this week:

Software development

1. Added the mesh encryption function to improve the security of mesh network.

2. Added improvements to the Spectrum cross-compilation environment.  Users can directly compile smc programs that can run on meshbox.

Software update/test

MeshBox-Maxwell v1.2.5.993

MeshBox-Tesla v2.2.5.994

MeshBox-Turing v3.2.5.995

Test the basic functions of 2.4G, 5G, psk2 mesh encryption

The official version incorporates the function of mesh encryption

Hardware

1. Paying attention to the safety of current industry manufacturers hardware usage; analyzing the feasibility of related manufacturers’ safety certification and market prospects; and providing a reference for subsequent configuration applications.

2. Analyzed the application scenarios of the security chip in Trusted IoT scenarios, conducted a preliminary assessment of the credibility of the security chip to enhance the combined application of the blockchain and IoT, and provide application support for MeshBox to upgrade the chip security level.

3. Continued to track the technological progress of Intel’s 11th-generation chips, expanded and analyzed the functions of the original design after removing SGX, and considered whether to support the TEE security environment.

Prepared relevant courseware for Singapore blockchain training activities.
