Today, Henry Wang met with Mr. Yan Meng; Mr. Meng was the first person to translate the term “token” into Chinese words “通证”, while Henry was the first person to define the term “token switching”. Both exchanged and discussed matters related to meshDAO, the decentralized autonomous organization for the Value Internet. Mr. Meng is excited about becoming a member of the meshDAO and work with global blockchain leaders such as Henry, Professor David Lee, Chia Hock Lai, Bo Shen and Richard Wang, to build the global Internet of Value. Mr. Meng has extensive knowledge and experience in NFT and will collaborate with SmartMesh, MeshBox and meshDAO in the NFT and DAO domains.
The specific work in the past two weeks are as follows:
Software
1. Researched on IPQ6018 I2C and UART related drivers, and software that drives the devices.
2. Continued work on upgrading IPQ6018 platform management interface, added advanced settings including MAC address settings, wireless settings, port forwarding and other functions.
3. Conducted feasibility study on using GPIO to drive LED lights. Currently, driver has migrated successfully and was able to drive LEDs for the network port and wireless indicator.
Hardware
Researched on blockchain distributed computing applications. Since sensitive data could exist in transactions of some applications, distributed computing is used to solve limitations of privacy protection in computing.
Conducted field test with Singapore staff and successfully demonstrated the following functions:
1. Creation of Mesh network;
2. Direct Photon payment with and without Internet;
3. Indirect Photon payment via intermediary payment node;
4. Using MeshBox for video sharing service;
5. MeshBox device management via MeshBox app.
1.This morning, Peter Yan, MeshBox’s CEO and Soh Har Pang, Director for Business Development had a conference call with the Executives from a Singapore IoT company. The parties were connected during Professor David Lee’s Global FinTech Institute lectures, where Peter and SmartMesh’s CEO Henry were invited to give a speech on their blockchain ecosystem project. The party found synergy during the presentation and believed that there could be new opportunities by bringing together MeshBox and SmartMesh ecosystem with IoT technology, which led to the conference call. The parties will explore technology integration and form strategic alliance upon signing NDA.
