MeshBox Biweekly Report (2022.01.08–2022.01.21)

MeshBox CEO Peter, together with representatives from ecosystem partner SmartMesh held an online meeting with MeshBox’s close hardware partner in the US.  The MeshBox++ hardware wiltechnology is advancing with WiFi6E and custom antennas, as well as offline operations and management support.  Such hardware enhancements will help support the SmartMesh protocols for offline Photon payment channels, and MetaLife offline communications.  The partners are working together to integrate the MeshBox consensus and staking rewards blockchain based on POM.  Parameters being considered include WiFi signal strength such as SNR; and GPS location.  POM will incentivize the rapid deployment of MeshBoxes from the grassroots level, which will then support the upcoming applications from MetaLife and other SmartMesh ecosystem partners.

Software Development

  1. Studied LoRaWAN-related information and relevant codes of sx1301 and sx1302 chips;
  2. Studied Erlang development environment under OpenWrt and explored method to integrate Erlang into OpenWrt;
  3. Studied relevant user manuals of hardware and firmware, and analyzed the implementation process of their products;
  4. Run blockchain-core test case;
  5. Wallet, http-api, console, hotspot-app compilation;
  6. Studied PoM blockchain primitives, mining and rewards, proof of coverage, packet purchases, consensus protocols, mesh tokens, oracles, and transaction fees.

Hardware Development

  1. Industry open-source project analysis:
  2. Transplanted operating system to virtual machine for easy analysis;

Internet of Things competitive product analysis, mainly to analyze the classification, function, price, incentives and other content of hardware products.

  1. The morning news from MediaCorp, Singapore national television channel has interviewed SmartMesh VP of Bus Dev SohHar related to the “Metaverse Workshop” jointly organized by SUSS, SmartMesh, MeshBox and MetaLife, and has produced an 8-minute program to explore the future of the Singapore Metaverse. In the program, MeshBox’s plan to build a mesh network for HDB flats in Singapore were featured on the TV show.

This project is gaining interest from both the Singapore community leaders and SUSS.  The pandemic has brought inconveniences to the lives of local residents, especially the elderly who have become more isolated.  MeshBox utilizes two types of MeshBoxes, indoor and outdoor devices, to solve connection issues in communication network. The development of ecosystem project MetaLife will allow these connected residents to participate in various entertainment activities, education and learning, and e-commerce life without leaving their home.
