MeshBox Biweekly Report (2022.02.19–2022.03.04)

This week, Professor David Lee, Director of MeshBox Foundation, gave a lecture at the Advanced Diploma in Finance and Markets for Decision Makers event hosted by Temasek Foundation and Wealth Management Institute. Henry, Advisor of MeshBox Foundation, was invited to attend the roundtable discussion as well. The Advanced Diploma in Finance and Markets for Decision Makers (ADFM) is part of the Temasek Regional Regulators Fellowship Programme, which aims to help potential representatives and leaders of financial regulators and central banks in Asia to enhance their expertise, build strong regional relationships and better navigate the changing global financial market landscape. The course consists of 5 modules covering timelines, investment and market principles and the latest financial market trends, including a module on digital assets. Participants included 50 central bankers and financial regulators from India, China, and other countries in Asia, including Singapore.

Software Development:

1. Built PoM solidity project

2. Created rpc-rs project, state machine fsm-rs and rest pom-rest-rs projects

3. Resolved state transitions of requesting, mining, receiving, and waiting of poc_statm

4. Started to build and develop core functions related to the MeshBox side chain. The main network has the following features:

  • SMT will be used as MeshBox side chain gas fee;
  • MESH will be used as the network reward, including reward to block nodes and relevant third-party equipment nodes that complete PoM coverage proofs.

Hardware Development:

  1. Analyzed device location verification algorithm of IOT blockchain.
  2. Implemented part of the message definition aspect of this release.

  1. Analyzed token economy of MESH, utility of MESH, reward distribution, etc., analyzed the relationship between Token price and number of network devices, and relationship between PoM rewards and device networking (including third-party devices).
  2. Participated in discussion of PoM implementation plan.

  1. SmartMesh, the ecosystem partner of MeshBox Foundation, has partnered with veriTAG and NULS on stablecoin, cross-chain and game development initiatives, and will jointly the promote Web3 metaverse. The MeshBox Foundation and its ecosystem partner SmartMesh have been actively looking for like-minded partners to join and expand their ecosystem. The cooperation with VeriTAG and NULS will expand the utility of SMT. Most importantly, this partnership will enable a truly open and borderless Web3 metaverse.

  3. Henry introduced the senior participants from central bank and regulatory organizations on how MeshBox builds mesh networks from the bottom up and forms the decentralized Internet of Value, and how Web3 and Internet of Value allow developing countries to leap-frog other economies. At the same time, Henry has also made recommendations to central banks and regulatory representatives on how regulation can support innovation in communications and finance.
